Dahia's Bazar


This hand-knotted rug is a precious treasure telling the story of the Berber tradition, made in the region of the Moroccan Middle Atlas. It was created by beautiful Berber craftswomen using a technique that's been around for centuries, protected and handed down through generations from mother to daughter. This particular pattern is in Brown and Black which makes a beautiful contrast with the white underneath it. Entirely composed of fine and silky wool, this particular piece took 3 months to make.The wool is exposed under the moroccan stars for an entire night, in order to ward off the evil eye according to ancestral Berber tradition. 8,50'/6,23'
